Each child will receive a meal box containing seven breakfasts and seven lunches as well as a gallon of milk. St. Joseph Cathedral, 401 Main St., Baton Rouge, will host a patriotic potluck luncheon to celebrate Independence Day on Sunday, June 30, after the 10:30 a.m. Mass at the Cathedral’s Parish Hall. Father Cary Bani, pastor of St. Joseph, and the cathedral staff will provide the main entrée of barbecue brisket. Parishioners and friends are invited to share their favorite summertime side dishes. Cold beverages will be provided. Participants arriving for Mass may give the dishes to the parish development group volunteers, who will keep them cool or warm as needed.
