Retreat Options: Couples have the option of choosing either a “Virtual” format (which will be conducted on-line via Zoom) or an “In-person” format, which will be held in the Catholic Life Center, 1800 S. Acadian Thruway, Baton Rouge. There will be a retreat held once a month each month except for the month of December. If you have questions, you can contact us at 225-242-0323.

IN-PERSON & VIRTUAL Retreat weekend schedules are as follows:
IN PERSON retreats:
Saturday - 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Sunday - 9 a.m. - Noon (Mass begins at 11:15 a.m.)

COST: $100 per couple.
Paying with Credit Card/Online Registration: You will be able to begin the online registration process by choosing one of the weekend dates below. By clicking on one of the buttons below, a Registration form for that weekend will open. Once you've filled it out completely, and paid the fee, your registration is complete and you will receive a confirmation e-mail.
Paying with a Check/Mail In Registration: If you wish to pay with a check, return to the Programs for Engaged Couples page for a downloadable Mail-In registration form and instructions. Please return the completed form along with a check for $100 (made payable to the Diocese of Baton Rouge) and mail to the Office of Marriage & Family Life, Diocese of Baton Rouge, P.O. Box 2028, Baton Rouge, LA 70821). Once your payment has been received, we will send a confirmation notice from our office.
**IMPORTANT information for attending a Virtual Retreat
Handouts/booklets Needed for 'Virtual' retreats: If you have registered for one of the “Virtual” retreats, you will need to receive a packet of participation materials in time for the retreat. We will mail this packet to the woman's mailing address about ten (10) days prior to the retreat date (unless otherwise specified). Therefore, it is important that you register in a timely manner to insure you get your packet in time, since it can take as much as 7 days for the packet to reach you via US mail within LA and up to 7 or more days if you are living out of state. Don’t forget to include Apartment numbers, if that applies, and the correct Zip codes! Included in the packet will be a copy of exercises for each of you, a wedding planning booklet, along with a welcome letter and some blank paper. The code needed to access the Zoom account for your virtual retreat will be sent to the woman's e-mail address. Please be sure to use an active e-mail address that you can access! If your telephone numbers, mailing address (or e-mail addresses) change after registration, please notify our office as soon as possible. Call 225-242-0323.
Zoom Information - Zoom code information for Virtual retreats: If you are registered for a Virtual retreat, the Zoom code needed will be e-mailed to the woman's e-mail address (as previously noted) during the week before your retreat date. If you have not received the email with the Zoom code by Thursday morning before the retreat, you MUST notify our office that day! (Please note that our office is not open on the weekends nor during the weekend of your retreat).
Certificate of completion: After you and your fiance'/fiancee' have completed the retreat, you will receive a certificate of completion that you may present to the priest or deacon who is preparing you for marriage. The names you entered on the registration form will be used to create your certificate. Please use the woman’s maiden name when entering her last name on the form (not her future husband's last name). The certificate will be e-mailed to the couple using the woman's e-mail address.
Transfers and Cancellations: Once registered, if you need to transfer to another retreat date, please contact our office. There will be no fee required to make the transfer within the same year. However, if you must cancel your registration completely, we will refund your registration fee minus a $25 administrative cost that will be deducted from your refund. In either case, we do ask that you let us know of any changes you may need to make as soon as possible so that another couple may have the opportunity to take your place.
