What is a Site Coordinator?
The people who assist our office in creating and maintaining the catechetical certification profiles for each parish or school are called Religious Education Certification Site Coordinators or Catechetical Certification Site Coordinators. There is one site coordinator for each parish and Catholic school in our diocese. These individuals have special responsibilities for maintaining these records and communicating with their catechists about their ongoing formation. This page provides these site coordinators with the resources they need to fulfill their roles.

If you have any new teachers/catechists/employees that need a profile created in the main catechetical database, please use this temporary form to share their information so we can create a profile:

- When you have a new teacher or catechist, contact Shannon Sales at [email protected] with the following information so a new profile can be created: First Name, Nickname, Middle Name, Last Name, Male/Female, Home Address, Phone Number, Current Email, Is their personal religion Catholic? Yes/No, Hire Date, School/Parish, Position (teacher, counselor, etc.)
- Send us a list of anyone who is no longer serving at your school/parish so we can mark their profiles as "inactive".
- Notify our office of any major changes to profiles, such as name or role changes.
- Profiles are permanent records and should never be destroyed. If you can no longer store hard copies of profiles at your location, please contact the Archives Department to arrange storage at the diocese.
- Request profile reports by emailing Shannon Sales at [email protected] while copying [email protected] for a timely response.
- Please note that requests for such sensitive information will be honored only if they are made by certain people:
- In schools: pastor/chaplain, an administrator (principal, assistant principal, academic dean, or president), a coordinator of religious education, or a site coordinator
- In parishes: pastor/administrator, a parochial vicar, a director of religious education, or a site coordinator

- Coach your catechists/teachers to take appropriate courses for their level, using the guidelines at the link above.
- Help new catechists/teachers know where to register for MAT classes on the LearnCat website.
- Share the MAT introductory videos with new teachers/catechists.
- Let your catechists/teachers know they can obtain copies of their own personal profiles by filling out the request form on the LearnCat website via the Support/Records menu.

- Please reach out if you have questions about MAT classes, catechetical profiles, LearnCat, or if you are interested in hosting a MAT class on your campus.

- Forward emails from our Office of Evangelization & Catechesis that advertise Ministry & Theology (MAT) classes, Theology of the Body trainings, and enrichment opportunities.
- Make copies of the new MAT schedules each semester and distribute them to your teachers/catechists.
