Kick off the charitable season on #GivingTuesday, December 1, with #iGiveCatholic—a crowdfunding event that brings the Catholic community together to give thanks and give back. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Baton Rouge is joining arch/dioceses and Catholic foundations across the country for the eighth annual #iGiveCatholic campaign. The #iGiveCatholic Giving Day is held annually on #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and generosity.

Last year, the faithful in our diocese gave back, and Gave Catholic, donating $392,303 to our 37 participating parishes, schools, and ministries! We look forward to another successful year of working with churches and organizations within our diocese to help them fulfill their mission and outreach.

Since its inaugural year in 2015, the #iGiveCatholic Giving Day has yielded continued growth in not only number of participating dioceses and their participating nonprofits, but also total donations, both online and offline, and average gift amount.
