The Employee Benefit Board works with the Diocesan Offices of Human Resources and Benefits to review and make recommendations to the Ordinary on the health and welfare benefit plans offered to all priests and employees of the parishes, schools, and affiliated agencies of the diocese.
The board participates in the annual renewal process for the benefit plans offered and also in strategic initiatives to drive continuous improvement and maintain viable, cost effective benefit plans that fulfill the needs of our employees and their families. This process is done in consultation with the diocesan benefit consulting firm. The board then advises Ordinary, who must give his approval before the benefit plans and/or programs are implemented.
