  The Diocesan Office of Life, Peace, and Justice and the Theology Department of Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University (FranU) will host a presentation by Dr. Jennifer Morel on the Church's pastoral support and instruction on same-sex attraction - with a desire to convey through this evening's topic "God's constant and caring intervention in everyone's life" (Life is Always a Good - by the Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life).

- Cajun by birth, Dr. Jennifer E. Morel is currently finishing a book on “a theology of masculinity and femininity”, based on her extensive scriptural and cultural research. She completed her undergraduate degree in theology at the Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2002, and then traveled to Rome where she earned graduate degrees at the Pontifical Universities of the Angelicum and the Gregorian, studying as well at the John Paul II Pontifical Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family. In 2013, she obtained her doctorate with a thesis in Catholic social doctrine from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome also. Dr. Morel is a former professor of moral theology at Notre Dame Seminary Graduate School of Theology in New Orleans, and has taught courses and presented around the world on Catholic feminism and on gender identity. Dr. Morel is an Associate Professor of Theology at Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University (FranU) in Baton Rouge, while raising two small, curious, and intelligent Catholic thinkers.
