Baton Rouge, LA - The Roman Catholic Diocese of Baton Rouge will host its 2nd Annual Walking with Moms in Need Community Baby Shower at the Tracy Center Ballroom at the Catholic Life Center in Baton Rouge this Saturday, March 21, from 9:30 to 11:30 AM. In partnership with Mary’s Hands Network, Catholic Charities, Louisiana Right to Life, and Black Advocates for Life, the event is free and open to all expecting mothers and families with babies up to six months old.
This year’s Community Baby Shower continues the Diocese’s commitment to celebrating life and supporting parents through practical resources, encouragement, and community connection. Attendees will have access to a wide range of support, including baby supplies, gifts, refreshments, and information from community partners dedicated to maternal and infant well‑being.
“Our hope is that every mother who walks through our doors feels supported, welcomed, and accompanied,” Deacon Randall Waguespack said. “This event is part of our ongoing mission to ensure no mother in our community feels alone during pregnancy or early parenthood.”
The Walking with Moms in Need initiative, rooted in parish‑based support across the Diocese, connects mothers with resources ranging from baby items and parenting guidance to broader community services.
