The Society of St. Vincent de Paul National Board of Directors recently came to Baton Rouge and met with the Baton Rouge Vincentian family. The board members enjoyed the Louisiana hospitality, and conveyed they were impressed with the society’s programs that serve neighbors in need. Bishop Michael G. Duca visited with the national board and thanked it for what it does for the society in the United States. Kim Boudreaux, diocesan council president and Michael Acaldo, president/ CEO of the Baton Rouge SVDP Society, gave the board a tour of the main charitable campus. The board members expressed their appreciation of the impact the local SVDP Society is making in the community and their excitement about the upcoming construction of a new chapel in the heart of the campus.
