WASHINGTON - “As conflicts intensify around the world, let us renew our commitment to be Christ’s instruments of peace in an increasingly fractured and divided world,” said Archbishop Paul S. Coakley, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, in a statement marking the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
Bishop Michael Duca has announced that the annual Continuing Formation Days for priests will be held October 5–8, 2026. These days represent an important occasion for our priests’ renewal and growth in intellectual and spiritual formation, emotional maturity, and physical well-being. Bishop Duca invites the faithful to pray for and support our priests in their formation.
St. Mary's Chapel in Union served for many decades as the spiritual and social focal point for weddings and milestone commemorations in the Union (Convent) area.
In consultation with the Clergy Personnel Board, Bishop Michael Duca makes this announcement effective 01 September 2026 regarding the active status of one of our diocesan priests.
