The Office of Life, Peace & Justice of the Diocese of Baton Rouge will sponsor its Fourth Prison Ministry Day of Fellowship and Formation on Saturday, May 9, 8 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. The event will take place at the St. George Church Kleinpeter Activity Center, 7808 St. George St., Baton Rouge. St. Sharbel Maronite Catholic Church, 18768 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, will host a Loss and Longing Mass on Saturday, May 9, 5:30 p.m. The Mass is for mothers who have struggled with the loss of a child, who have a difficult relationship with their mother or children, or who otherwise struggle with Mother's Day. The Diocese of Baton Rouge's Offices of Life, Peace, and Justice and Marriage and Family Life will present a program on the Catholic Church and Marriage. The event will take place Thursday, May 14, 6 – 8 p.m. at the St. George Church Kleinpeter Activity Center, 7808 St. George Dr., Baton Rouge. The theme of the program is "The Catholic Church and Marriage: The Call to Holiness and Sexual Ethics."
